Southwick Park Golf Club

Message from the board and Management

The past 2 weeks together with the most recent announcements today have been particularly challenging. You could call it a ‘perfect storm’ with an unprecedented wet winter and now a global pandemic.

However, we will not let this beat us, and as the saying goes ‘YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU’! Thanks to those of you who have already renewed your membership, and for those of you yet to do so, please do go ahead so that we can continue to provide a great golfing experience for all of us. Covid-19 is affecting all of us, but if we continue to support the club financially, we can look forward to enjoying it again when things settle down.

We can assure all of our members that we have taken every precaution at the Club to ensure the safety of our Members, and whilst we have introduced restrictions you can still come and enjoy a round of golf in the beautiful surrounding of Southwick Park Golf Club.

The good news is, in line with the current Government guidelines, golf can continue and with a few adjustments it's one of the best ways to remain active and socially engaged at this time. In fact the exercise, fresh air and social interaction will play an important part in your well-being and positivity over the coming months.

The following measures have been put in place and are requirements when visiting the Club:

With immediate effect:

Golf course remains open – tees to be booked through IG

Clubhouse closed – All events are cancelled until the end of April

Changing rooms open

Pro-shop, open but access restricted to the pro.

Office remains open for renewals

- Please arrive only a few minutes before your tee time, tee off without delay, no chitchatting or gathering on the first tee

- Flag sticks to be left in the hole when putting - play gimmies...you decide the length!

- All rakes have been removed, bunkers GUR

- Ball washers are out of action

- Clean your shoes when you get home, shoe cleaners will be removed as will the air compressor facility

- Don't use the safety bell, shout to inform golfers you are clear

- Please follow Government social distancing advice........and most importantly wash your hands!

From Monday 23rd March  - To make our course as accessible as possible to members, Visitor golf is cancelled, members please come and play!!

We look forward to seeing you over the coming weeks and encourage you to keep golfing, and please come and renew your membership as YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!
